Internationally educated professionals

Trained outside Canada? Start with the regulator.

  1. Identify your profession’s regulator. In regulated professions, the regulator sets the assessment and registration steps, not employers or CareZelo.
  2. Ask which assessments apply to you. Some nursing routes involve a national credential assessment; confirm with your regulator before you pay for one.
  3. Check immigration and work authorization separately. Professional registration and permission to work in Canada are different processes.
